Vahterus Plate & Shell Heat Exchangers are widely used in hydrogen applications and can increase efficiency and safety due to their fully welded plate technology. Today, Plate & Shell Heat Exchangers are used as KOH coolers, hydrogen/oxygen coolers or heat exchangers in hydrogen purification and interstage gas compression cooling. For extreme low temperatures in H02 evaporation, Plate & Shell Heat Exchangers are also used successfully.

CO2 capture technologies are highly energy-intensive processes. With the use of highly efficient and true counter-current Plate & Shell Heat Exchangers, the need for external energy can be minimised. With market-leading Vahterus heat-recovery heat exchangers, CCS technologies will become a key solution on the way to achieving netZero in chemical processing and power generation.
