Country Sales Manager Sven Leimpek: Natural Communicator
Meet Sven Leimpek, Country Sales Manager at Vahterus in Germany, where he has built an impressive career of almost 21 years.
Before starting at Vahterus, Sven studied Process and Environmental Engineering. After studies, he realized that he had a natural gift for communication, especially when it came to connecting with people. This insight led him into a Project Manager role at Vahterus Germany.
Today, Sven works as a Country Sales Manager in Germany. Much of Sven’s week is spent traveling across Germany, Switzerland, and Austria, visiting clients, and working to find the best solutions for their needs. ‘Between client visits and some 30 daily phone calls, my job is all about finding solutions,’ Sven explains. ‘Every project is unique, and I take pride in tailoring proposals to meet the exact needs of our customers.’ On average, Sven prepares one offer per day, ensuring a constant flow of communication and documentation between himself and his clients to guarantee smooth project handling.
For Sven, the variety and independence that come with his job are the most rewarding aspects. ‘The best part of my job is the variety – no two days are ever the same. Whether it’s solving a customer issue or learning about the latest innovations in heat pump technology, that constant change is what keeps me motivated.’

When not on the road or working, Sven spends quality time with his wife and two daughters, who are his greatest supporters. He enjoys gardening, taking walks in nature, and attending musicals and theater performances. This family time allows him to recharge and maintain balance in his life.
For Sven, three principals have always been crucial to succeed in his role: listening to others, asking for help when needed, and fostering smooth collaboration – both within Vahterus and with clients. These values have guided him throughout his career and helped him thrive in his role.
This is also the advice Sven wishes to pass on to younger professionals:
‘Trust in yourself. Listen carefully to the person in front of you. Understand their needs and help find solutions together. Never be too shy to ask for help, and never be too arrogant to think you can do everything alone.’
